The Mid Semester Test is an online assessment. Access to the assessment will commence on Monday 19th April at 9am and cease on Monday 26 April at 5pm, so you have 8 days to complete the test. To find the online assessment, look under the assessment icon on the 1101 Black Board site after 9am on the 19th April.
The assessment WILL NOT be timed so please set up a timing device ( watch) next to you. You have 90 mins to complete this assessment, so will need to complete the test within one seating ( 90 mins). We are able to track the time you take to complete this assessment. If you go over 90 mins by more than 10% (9 mins) you will incur a penalty of 5% for each minute over the 10% buffer. The time we have given you is extremely generous.
Please ensure that you do not rush each question as the survey also needs at least a few seconds to go onto the next question ( so do not just click you answer and move on rapidly). If the screen goes white press the back button on the top of the screen. A white screen may occur if you are clicking too fast through the test.
You can leave a question blank however you can NOT go back to a question so please do not waste an answer if you are unsure chose an answer and move forward.
All the questions cover information relevant to weeks 1-6, specifically chapters 1,2,9,10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 19. Be aware that you can use your text book BUT keep track of the time.
Please be aware that you will not receive your result after the test and the grade book on BB will not show your test result. We will show you your result after the test period (after 26th April) is complete. Please do not request your test result.
A word of warning. Inevitably leaving the test to the last minute may cause stress to you and to the computer, as they have a knack of not doing what they are supposed to do when you really need them to. We have given you class time to do this test so please make best use of it. You can email or phone Julie Ann ( 6304 5591) with any difficulties you have in completing the assessment.
However not having time, or clashes with other assessments will not constitute an adequate excuse. If you become ill you will require a Drs Certificate as evidence as you have 8 days to complete this assessment.
